Fonkoze Releases 2009 Social Performance Report
Fonkoze announced today the release of its 2009 Social Performance Report, Accompanying Our Clients Along the Staircase out of Poverty. Prepared by Fonkoze’s Social Performance Monitoring and Market Research department, the report provides a reflective and transparent analysis of data collected in 2009 through client surveys, focus groups, and program evaluations.
Fonkoze receives Congressional Proclamation at the SIMACT Foundation Gala
New York – On June 19th Fonkoze received an Achievement award and Congressional Citation by member of Congress Edolphus “Ed” Towns. Fonkoze distinguished itself by providing microfinance loans and services to 45,000 borrowers, 95% of whom are women in rural parts of Haiti over the past 15 years. The SIMACT Foundation hosted a spectacular and well attended Gala with more than 275 Haitian professionals from the Diaspora from the USA, Canada, Haiti and Europe. The SIMACT foundation created by SIMACT Inc, a group of investors from the Haitian Diaspora, recognized different leaders of the Haitian Diaspora for their tireless humanitarian efforts.

Fonkoze is featured in a new guide, “Haiti: How Can I Help? Models for Donors Seeking Long-Term Impact,” released on Thursday, June 10, 2010, by the Center for High Impact Philanthropy at the University of Pennsylvania.

Enhancing Remittances to Haiti
