Post-Earthquake Profiles
In the following videos, several staff members comment on the amount of member-clients affected by the earthquake. Since the filming of this footage in late February, the actual number of affected member-clients has risen to just under 19,000. Fonkoze has been executing a Fonkoze Family Rehabilitation (Kore Fanmi Fonkoze) program for clients who lost their home, business or both. This program is a simulation of the catastrophic insurance product that Fonkoze was about to offer its clients when the quake struck. Eligible clients received a 5,000 HTG ($128) indemnity, reimbursement of their loan, and the opportunity to take a new loan when they are ready. Clients participate in four new training modules in disaster preparedness, risk management, home repair and rebuilding, and catastrophic insurance.
Fonkoze acknowledges the generous contribution of Rooy Media LLC for producing these videos.
