We seek individuals with whom we can build a strong, mutually beneficial and lasting relationship – highly competent and dynamic professionals who share Fonkoze’s mission and vision to break the cycle of poverty throughout Haiti via empowerment.
To intern in Haiti, we ask that interns plan to spend at least three months in Haiti, though six months is preferred, have some level of Kreyòl (preferred) and/or French proficiency, and possess the financial means to cover travel to and expenses in Haiti. Please note: Our internships are unpaid.
Past interns, as an example, have helped devise research surveys to assess the speed with which our poorest members climb out of poverty, examined the role of village assistance committees’ role in our members’ progress and served as financial analysts for Fonkoze Financial Services.
