Coming to Pascal Hall and Barnswallow Books this Fall is a celebration of Haitian culture through children’s literature, film, music and cuisine. In celebration of 30 years of empowering women in rural Haiti, Fonkoze brings this celebration of Haitian culture to the community of Rockport Maine. Please join us for one or all of these events uplifting Haitian culture.

Rockport Maine Fonkoze Event | October 19

Enjoy a family-focused Haitian children’s book reading and activity. Later that day, join us at Pascal Hall for a special film screening and Q&A with the directors of Kite Zo A. Music by Lakou Mizik and food experience by award-winning Chef Lemaire will bring the flavors of Haiti to Rockport, Maine. Registration coming soon.

  • 10/19 at 10am: Children’s book Kreyol culture reading by Haitian children’s book author, Regine Theodat at  Barnswallow Books

  • 10/19 at 5pm: Kite Zo A film screening & Q&A with Director Zach Niles | Music members of Lakou Mizik

  • Food experience by Chef Alain Lemaire
