Operational Continuity Both of Fonkoze’s decentralized offices in Port-au-Prince are currently open, though operating at reduced capacity to ensure safety amidst ongoing unrest. Fonkoze’s decentralized structure has allowed us to keep the majority of branches operational, ensuring that development services, including microfinance, healthcare, and educational support, continue to reach communities across rural Haiti.
Dominique Boyer, CEO of Fonkoze Financial Services said, “To reinforce stability in our operations, Fonkoze’s southern branches were supplied with cash reserves last week, allowing them to operate independently for approximately three weeks. However, recent airport closures following an incident involving a Spirit Airlines flight have temporarily suspended cash transport to these branches. Fonkoze is actively working to restore this supply chain while prioritizing the safety of our staff and clients.”
