Where We Work
Fonkoze’s 46 branches cover nearly every area of Haiti. Our unprecedented reach provides many Haitians their only access to financial and development services.
Our Reach
Fonkoze’s programs, from our work with the poorest of the poor all the way to our work with micro-entrepreneurs, are designed to meet Haitians wherever they are on their journey out of poverty.
Purposefully positioning ourselves to reach the “unreachable,” 90% of our 46 branches are located in the poorest and most remote regions of Haiti. 60% are in areas where there are no other financial institutions.
There are many root causes of poverty, but it is undeniable that one of the main contributing factors is the lack of access. Fonkoze was created 28 years ago to address this issue head-on.
Fonkoze's Branch Network
Our branch network also acts as the infrastructure through which Fonkoze provides Development programs and services.
Nearly 2,000 of our client centers span virtually every area of the country, enabling us to provide critical services, including business skills training, adult education and health to thousands of women throughout rural Haiti.
